Our Artisans
My
foundation in the multimedia art you will find through this site began with many years of elementary and high school art classes
and photography in the Midwest. I attended vocational technical classes in Computer Science, and Lapidary classes for
stone cutting & jewelry setting.
After the benefit of early
graduation from high school, I left home for California. Once there, I continued the trend in art by attending classes
at The Academy of Art, and City College of San Francisco, where I also studied Medical Administration & Business.
Many semesters of fine art and metal smith classes later, I settled into working
with sculptural plastics and found objects. My early work looked very much like edible cookies or organic matter. I
then moved on to working with fabricated metals and semi-precious stones as my trademark style discovered me. Sv.

Carol Ochs
Our illustrious
alumni of scent crafting. She has a nose for aroma, and embodies an extensive history in the art of natural soapmaking. She
paints & creates gifts borne of the fantasy realm, and is a Mom Extraordinaire. A pioneer, an entrepeneur, and a
real gem.
Carmen Willcox
A spiritually
rich writer & artist who is Mediterranean born. During her childhood she lived opposite an exquisite 12th Century
Cathedral. Each day, on her way to and from school, she would pass this romantic place. The beautiful singing
voices sounded heavenly as they drifted on the hot, sunny air. Its ancient interior was dark and cold, filled with marble
statues, glowing candles and haunting, monastic chanting. Cloisters, dark-robed silent figures, incense; all these steeped
into her young mind that remained a vital core in much of her writing.
Gothic Dream, one of many
books written by Carmen, features Nightwing; a title inspired by an icon made for her.
